Novid20 provided painless, uncomplicated PCR testing to over 3300 schools in Bavaria, 2x a week. For 30 seconds, the children suck on a cotton swab, which is combined with those of the other children in a common tube while still in class and later analyzed in one of 9 laboratories. Uncomplicated, safe and cost-efficient.
We have set ourselves the goal of also making PCR tests available on a large scale and at low cost. Therefore, together with the high-throughput laboratory Novogenia, the laboratory IT specialists from KCC and the healthcare infrastructure professionals from WEMS, we have built a COVID test infrastructure that can process up to 1.2 million PCR tests per day.
Together with the Vienna Biocenter (IMP) and our partner Labordatenbank.at, we were able to set up a system that enables Caritas to regularly test its employees for SARS-CoV-2 by PCR analysis. The Caritas employees gargle several times a week and thus effectively protect their residents.
