We built our own WebApp for large scale COVID-Testing and are currently working on a platform for pandemic preparedness. Over a period of almost 2 years roughly 30 million PCR pool tests have been processed via this application. It was in use in over 6.000 institutions. Our clients include the Free State of Bavaria, the City of Freiburg, the charity Caritas and the German Foreign Ministry.
Teachers, kindergarteners and parents are a very diverse user group with widely varying digital affinities and skills.
Over the course of the pandemic, new requirements for the app have emerged constantly, sometimes on a weekly basis.
Students, parents, teachers, kindergarteners, the schools, municipalities and states. Many stakeholders lead to a very complex data protection law construct.
The application had to withstand the load and data of many hundreds of thousands of people. It also had to be able to send hundreds of thousands of emails per hour.
